The Pitts Special is a series of light aerobatic biplanes designed by Curtis Pitts. It's renowned for its agility and has dominated world aerobatic competition, particularly during the 1960s and 1970s. Even today, it remains a popular aircraft for aerobatic training and performance. The Pitts Special was designed specifically for aerobatics, offering a great power-to-weight ratio for performing various maneuvers. It's described as highly responsive and requires precise control inputs. Only 196 of these magnificent aircraft were built and we are proud to be able to display these fine examples of aerobatic excellence. The Pitts Special dominated world aerobatic competitions in the 1960's and 1970's and even today remain a potent aerobatics aircraft.
