Batik Fabric 16

All of our beautiful Batik Fabrics are made from 100% Tanzanian cotton produced by women artisans. The fabric is made by brushing hot liquid wax onto a piece of cotton cloth to create a desired pattern. The cloth is then dipped into dye which adheres to any area that is not covered by the wax. Lastly,  the wax is removed and reapplied repeatedly for each additional color. This is a tedious and time consuming endeavor that yields exceptional art. This fabric can be used as unique home decor or as fabric for homemade clothing.
