Kaman K-MAX

The Kaman K-MAX, also known as the K-1200 K-MAX or the "aerial truck," is a unique helicopter designed specifically for repetitive external load operations. It is characterized by its intermeshing rotors (synchropter), which eliminate the need for a tail rotor and enhance its lift capabilities, especially in hot and high conditions. A total of 60 Kaman K-MAX helicopters were built over the course of 30 years, with production ending in 2023. The initial production run from 1991 to 2003 saw 38 helicopters built. Production was later resumed and an additional 22 helicopters were produced, bringing the total to 60.
