Lavender oil was a favourite bath time cleaner for the ancient Romans and has been used to speed healing.

Source: Lavandula angustifolia is grown in France.

Extraction: Lavender essential oil is steam distilled from the freshly cut flowering tops of the evergreen shrub Lavandula angustifolia.

Aroma: Organic Lavender essential oil has a sweet, floral and herbaceous scent with a balsamic undertone.

Fragrance note: Middle.

Properties: Organic Lavender essential oil is one of the safest and most commonly used oils in aromatherapy. It is both relaxing and stimulating, a powerful antiseptic and healer, and it relaxes, refreshes, invigorates and lifts the spirits.

In aromatherapy Organic Lavender Essential Oil is excellent for releasing tension, counteracting tiredness, lifting the spirits, improving minor skin problems and soothing aches or pains when used in massage.

Because it is so gentle, it may be applied undiluted to burnt skin or insect bites and is safe to use during pregnancy.

Uses: Massage, baths, vaporization, poultice, compress and may be added to base emollients.

Blends well with: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cedarwood, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Clove, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Grapefruit, Juniper, Lemon, Lemongrass, Mandarin, Marjoram, Oakmoss, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Peppermint, Pine, Ravensara, Rose, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Thyme and Vetiver.

Caution: Always ensure proper dilution of Organic Lavender essential oil.
