Favorite Hamac del Sol
In pre-Columbian times and long before the arrival of the conquerors, the indigenous peoples of Colombia were already weaving their own symbols on their hammocks. These drawings, linked to nature, have not been abandoned. One of the most famous peoples, the Zenú, were a warlike people where women could fight alongside men, and even rule. Although they were exterminated largely due to their tenacious resistance, it was this same tenacity, especially that of women, that helped preserve the tradition of weaving in San Jacinto. These women were able to resist and create their own business, thus offering families the opportunity to live and survive from generation to generation thanks to weaving.

XXL Premium Hammock “Cali”: the beauty of Colombia in a hammock

The heritage of pre-Columbian weaving techniques of the Zenú indigenous people is revealed in our double-sided hammock. It offers an extra fine yarn and a tightly woven canvas for unrivaled comfort, requiring a manufacturing time of 15 to 20 days to guarantee exceptional quality

Handcrafted and fair trade

This immense "double-sided" hammock, 1.80 m wide, is made by hand from extra fine acrylic yarn. Coming from fair trade, it is entirely “sculpted” on both sides. Only the Wayuu people and certain artisans of San Jacinto are capable of making this type of hammock using a very specific manufacturing technique.

Colorful design and unique sculptures for this XXL hammock

Its multi-colored design and its beautiful sculpture that runs along the hammock bed make the San Jacinto hammock recognizable among thousands for hammock lovers. We discover a variety of patterns and color palettes. Thus, the fabrics of this hammock still reflect the textile tradition of the Zenú culture, exhibiting the mixture of colors, patterns and emblematic figures of the Colombian Caribbean.

A hammock with luxurious comfort for indoors and outdoors

Extra comfortable, it is the ultimate luxury hammock. Designed indoors or outdoors, it is a piece of dense fabric made with a lot of love and patience. Note that due to its entirely artisanal production, it may have some imperfections. This hammock will certainly find a place of choice in your country house, your beach house or even your main residence. This XXL hammock is the right size for spending entire nights sleeping. It can also prove to be an excellent remedy in the event of a bedbug infestation. To go further, read our article: The hammock as a solution against bedbugs
