Enjoy the wholesome goodness of the sustainably grown toor dal that is enjoyed in kitchens all across the world. The Indian peas dried are now used in simple soup recipes to elaborate curries. Due to its natural and chemical-free inheritance, it imparts a naturally sweet taste with a creamy consistency that is easy to digest and quick to cook.
Directions:
Use 3 Cups water per 1 Cup dry lentil. Add 1-2 tsp oil, if desired. For making a lentil soups increase amount of water. For making lentil salad reduce amount of water.
Stovetop:
1. Soak lentils for 15-20 minutes. 2. Rinse thoroughly and drain water. 3. Add 3 cups of water per 1 cup of dry lentils in a wide pot and heat on low uncovered. 4. Once the water is at the level of the lentils, cover the pot. 5. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
Electric Cooker/Microwave:
1. Prep lentils same as above 2. Use 3 cups water per 1 cup of lentils and add to a microwave safe dish or electric cooker 3. Heat for 15-20 minutes on medium heat covered. Serve hot or cold.
