preparation

Brew your green tea at 70°C. For one liter of water, you should put about 12-15 grams of tea into a tea strainer. This corresponds to about 4 heaped teaspoons. Let your green tea steep for 1-3 minutes before removing the tea strainer from the water.

You can brew the tea 2-3 times. This means that with a tin of tea that is filled with 90g, you can make about 110 cups of green tea.

The good thing about your tea is that you can also brew it cold as cold brew tea. The dosage is similar, but you have to let the tea steep in cold water for 30-60 minutes. This is a refreshing alternative, especially for the warm summer months.

You can also put your brewed tea in the fridge after it has finished brewing so you can drink it as a healthy iced tea.

Further information

Our Japanese green tea Shady Gyokuro from Kyoto is one of the finest teas in the world. The harvest time is usually between the end of April and the beginning of May.

The Gyokuro is neon green in the cup and has a fruity, grassy taste with a slightly sweet finish. The special thing about Gyokuro is that the tea bushes are covered with reed mats for about three weeks before the tea is harvested so that the sunlight does not destroy any of the ingredients. This is why Gyokuro is also known as "shade tea".

The same applies here: the darker and more delicate the leaf, the higher the quality of the Gyokuro tea. An absolute tea rarity.

Of course, like all our teas, this tea is also an organic certified tea according to DE-ÖKO-039.
