A New Zealand Onewa or Greywacke toki (adze) pendant with traditional satin finish and beautifully hand-carved by Alex Sands.

Complete with an adjustable plaited waxed braid cord, it also includes a traditional-style woven presentation pouch and a description of the meaning of the carving.

The Toki is the adze blade was bound onto a wooden handle and used to carve the great canoes and details on the meeting houses.   It represents a creative or artistic person and the coming together of head, hand and heart.
