A blank rendered wall, a bare fence line, or a courtyard that never quite came together is one of the harder problems in a fit-out. Living planting answers it only with irrigation, adequate light, and an ongoing maintenance contract. Lower-grade greenery answers it for one season, then yellows in full sun and has to be pulled down and replaced. The Spring Sensation panel is engineered to resolve both constraints at once — a fresh botanical composition of light green foliage and subtle floral accents that installs in an afternoon, holds its color outdoors, and requires nothing afterward.
Constructed from LDPE with integrated RealTex™ and UVTex™ UV protection. Designer Plants panels are specified by American fitout contractors, hotel and hospitality groups, and universities, and are exported to projects worldwide. Backed by a 5-year UV warranty. A frequent specification for hospitality environments, retail displays, and residential feature walls where a fresh, energized botanical aesthetic is required.
Installed, the Spring Sensation reads as a wall of new-season growth — light tones layered against deeper foliage, with small floral accents catching the light. The effect is a feature wall that lifts the character of the space rather than sitting quietly behind it.

Two Layers of UV Protection, Not One
Most greenery sold for outdoor use relies on a single UV coating sprayed onto the finished leaf. That layer is the only thing standing between the pigment and the sun, and once it abrades, weathers, or washes off, fading begins and cannot be reversed. It is the reason outdoor panels so often yellow within a season or two.
Designer Plants UV-certified panels are protected twice over. UVTex™ inhibitors are compounded into the LDPE while the leaf is formed, so the stabilizer sits inside the material rather than on top of it and cannot be worn away. A protective UV coating is then applied over that. The result is protection that keeps working long after a sprayed-on surface coating alone would have gone — which is why outdoor installation here is covered by a 5-year UV warranty rather than a seasonal disclaimer. The manufacturing process is set out in full on the UVTex™ technology page.

Choosing Between Spring Sensation and the Alternatives
All three panels below share the same 40″ × 40″ format, clip system, material construction, and 5-year UV warranty. The difference is entirely in foliage character, and it determines how the finished wall reads.
| Panel |
Character |
Specify it when |
| Spring Sensation |
Light green mixed foliage with subtle floral accents |
The wall should feel fresh, seasonal, and visually active — hospitality, spa, retail, residential features |
| Lush Fern |
Deep, layered fern fronds with strong texture and depth |
A denser, more tropical and shaded look is wanted, or the wall sits in lower light |
| Natural Boxwood |
Uniform, manicured, single-species hedge finish |
A clean architectural backdrop is required and the greenery should recede behind signage, furniture, or artwork |
For a continuous run across fencing or a curved surface, the Boxwood green wall roll covers 33 sq ft in a single length with fewer visible joins. Where a project carries a fire-rating requirement, the NFPA 701 certified range and the FireTex™ technology page set out the certified options — the Spring Sensation panel is not fire rated. Further guidance is in the green wall buyer's guide.
Where This Panel Is Used
Reception Areas and Lobby Feature Walls
The Spring Sensation's fresh, light tones create an uplifting botanical arrival statement — particularly effective in spas, wellness environments, and hospitality interiors seeking a positive, energized character.
Restaurants, Cafes, and Hospitality Venues
A frequent specification for food and beverage operators seeking a fresh, seasonal botanical aesthetic. No watering, no leaf drop into service areas, and no maintenance window that closes a room.
Pool Surrounds and Outdoor Entertaining
ISO-certified UV resistant, with UVTex™ inhibitors compounded into the leaf and a protective UV coating over the top — two layers holding color in poolside and full-sun conditions where chlorine, salt, and reflected glare are hardest on greenery. Frost resistant through winter.
Fence Lines, Boundary Walls, and Balconies
Cable-tied to mesh or screwed to timber battens, the panels cover paling, brick, render, or steel — turning a boundary into a garden edge without reducing the usable footprint of a courtyard or balcony.
Photography, Retail, and Events
The Spring Sensation's light, energetic character creates a backdrop of botanical freshness for brand photography and event activations, and the panels demount and reinstall for repeat use.
Childcare, Healthcare, and Education
Non-toxic, SafeTex certified, RoHS compliant. No soil, water, or chemicals — a safe specification for environments with children and patients.
Installation
Panels connect using the integrated clip and lug system along all four edges. Screw to timber framing or masonry, cable-tie to mesh or steel frames, or mount using panel track systems. Panels cut to size with heavy-duty shears or a utility knife, so edges and cut-outs around lights, taps, and switches are handled on site. A standard wall is typically completed by two people in an afternoon. For full guidance, visit the Designer Plants Installation Guide. Fixings and accessories at the installation parts collection.

Maintenance
No watering, pruning, fertilizing, or seasonal care is required. Dust is removed with a soft brush or a rinse from a garden hose — full method on the
cleaning guide. For outdoor installations, periodic treatment with
Designer Plants UV Protection Spray maintains vibrancy year-round.
Order a Sample First
Foliage reads differently under showroom lighting, north-facing daylight, and full sun. The Spring Sensation sample panel is a cut section of the full product, sent so the foliage density, leaf finish, and color can be assessed against the actual light in the space and alongside the flooring, joinery, and stone already selected. For a project going to a client or a specification, it is the step that settles the decision before a full order is placed. Samples across the wider range are in the green wall sample collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Spring Sensation panels are needed to cover a wall? +
Each panel covers 11 sq ft. Multiply the wall width by its height in feet, divide by 11, and round up. A 10ft × 8ft wall is 80 sq ft and needs 8 panels. The coverage calculator on this page returns the figure directly and sets the quantity.
Can a Spring Sensation sample be ordered before buying? +
Yes. The Spring Sensation sample panel is a cut section of the full product, sent so the foliage density, leaf finish, and color can be assessed in the actual light of the space. Samples across the range are in the sample collection.
Will the Spring Sensation panel fade in full sun? +
Protection is applied twice. UVTex™ inhibitors are compounded into the LDPE while the leaf is formed, so the stabilizer sits inside the material and cannot be worn away, and a protective UV coating is then applied over that. Greenery relying on a sprayed-on coating alone loses its only defense once that layer weathers off. The panel is ISO-certified UV resistant and carries a 5-year UV warranty for outdoor installation. The process is set out on the UVTex™ technology page.
What is the difference between Spring Sensation and Lush Fern or Natural Boxwood? +
All three are 40″ × 40″, share the same clip system and material construction, and carry the same 5-year UV warranty. Spring Sensation is a mixed light-green foliage with floral accents for a fresh, visually active wall. Lush Fern is deeper and more textural for a tropical, shaded look. Natural Boxwood is uniform and manicured, for a clean backdrop behind signage or furniture.
Can Spring Sensation panels be cut to fit? +
Yes. The backing grid cuts with heavy-duty shears or a utility knife, so panels trim to an exact edge and cut around lights, taps, switches, and fixtures. Offcuts are used to fill smaller gaps rather than discarded.
Will the panels match if more are ordered later? +
Foliage is produced in batches, and slight variation between production runs is possible on any manufactured botanical product. Ordering the full quantity for an installation at one time is recommended so every panel comes from the same run. For phased projects, contact the team on +1 786 723 3309 before the first order so stock can be reserved.
Is the Spring Sensation panel suitable for outdoor use? +
Yes. UVTex™ inhibitors are integrated within the leaf, the panel is ISO-certified UV resistant and frost resistant, and outdoor installation is covered by the 5-year UV warranty.
Is the Spring Sensation panel fire rated? +
What is the return policy? +
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Email sales@designerplants.com for an RMA number. Panels must be unused and in original packaging, and a 15% restocking fee applies. Ordering a sample first is the simplest way to confirm the foliage suits the space before a full order is placed.
What is the warranty? +
A 5-year UV warranty applies to this panel. Full terms, including coverage for hedges, panels, and metal frames, are set out on the warranty page.
Where does Designer Plants ship from, and what does delivery cost? +
California and Miami warehouses, dispatched same or next business day via UPS or FedEx Ground. Delivery is free on orders above $300.
Is this safe for children and animals? +
Yes. Non-toxic, SafeTex certified, RoHS compliant. No soil, water, fertilizer, or pesticide is involved, which is why the panels are specified for childcare, healthcare, and education environments.
Can this be used commercially? +
What are artificial green wall panels? +
An artificial green wall panel such as Spring Sensation is a modular section of molded foliage on a rigid backing grid, fixed to a wall, fence, or frame to create the appearance of established planting. Because there is no soil or irrigation, the panels install on surfaces that could not support living planting — internal walls, rendered facades, balconies, and shaded courtyards — and require no watering, light, or maintenance once fixed.
