Tonga Pattern Baskets | Multiple Sizes

Handcrafted by women artisans from the Tonga tribe living in Northern Zimbabwe’s Zambezi Valley.  We work directly with a group of 30 Tonga master craft women to bring you the finest Tonga baskets.  These baskets are woven by hand from Ilala palm fibers native to Zimbabwe.  Tonga baskets are woven using the over and under style of simple weaving and a 25 inch diameter basket can take around 2 weeks to complete, which provides a sustainable source of income for their families. 

Tonga Baskets feature a versatile palette of a natural tan and brown color. This gorgeous mix of pattern and artistry make the Tonga baskets an eclectic wall accent for a living room or a bold statement in the foyer.  These baskets definitely add beautiful texture and dimension to blank walls.  Hang this functional art in singles or multiples for a pop of textural.

Hanging hardware or display stand not included.  Just wipe clean and please don’t wet basket.
