GC MI Paste with Recaldent

MI Paste is a topical toothpaste with bio-available calcium and phosphate. MI Paste contains the formula RECALDENT (a calcium and phosphate mixture) which allows the paste to clean, polish, and act as sealing agent.

The ability of MI Paste to restore minerals to your teeth and help you to produce saliva makes it beneficial in many areas:

• Tooth Whitening
• Reduces tooth sensitivity and helps restore enamel after whitening teeth.
  
• Orthodontics
• Helps to keep teeth healthy and prevent white lesions while wearing orthodontics, and helps reverse white spot lesions after brackets or bands have been removed.
  
• Hypersensitivity
• Re-mineralizes teeth with Recaldent by binding calcium and phosphate to your tooth surfaces, helping to reduce sensitivity.
  
• Dry Mouth
• Helps you to produce saliva to maintain balanced pH levels and prevent mouths from becoming over-acidic. Acidic oral environments can increase the risk of tooth decay and cavities.
  

MI Paste comes in a mint flavor to help increase saliva which in turn enhances the effectiveness of RECALDENT.

Recommended Indications: To be used for cleaning and polishing procedures as part of a professionally administered prophylaxis treatment. Secondarily, MI Paste can be used for the management of tooth sensitivity, post-scaling, root planing and bleaching.

Contradictions: RECALDENT is derived from milk casein. Do not use on patients with a milk protein and/pr hydroxybenzoates allergy.

Directions for use:

1. Following routine prophylaxis for removal of plaque, food debris and stain, ask the patient to rinse.
2. Apply a generous layer of MI Paste as a final finishing paste to the tooth surfaces using a prophycup, prophy brush, a gloved finger or in a difficult interproximal areas using as interproximal brush.
3. Request the patient to hold in the mouth for as long as possible (1-2 minutes) avoiding expectoration and delaying swallowing. The long MI Paste and saliva are maintained in the mouth, the more effective the result.
4. Advise the patient not to eat or drink for 30 minutes following application.

Store in a cool dry low humidity area away from direct sunlight.
